     I started my career with Shasta County on 4/24/2009, at the Auditor’s Office, as a Senior Account Clerk.  I transferred and promoted to the Probation department as an Accounting Technician, on 6/14/2010.  My current position is an Agency Staff Services Analyst II.   Before that I have worked in the private sector starting with Record Searchlight for 17 years, and Moss Lumber for 13 years.

    Ron has been a member of UPEC Local 792 since January 2009 and became an Executive Board Member in November 2013.  He was a member of the Shasta County General Unit as an Eligibility Worker III before joining the UPEC staff in January 2016.  Ron’s prior paralegal and law clerk experience includes representing employees at administrative hearings.

    Robert DeLong



    Robert is in his 32nd year as a professional State Certified Journeyman and Union Representative. He held the title of Public Works Senior Lead and Master Fire Mechanic III at the City of Milpitas. Prior to joining the City of Milpitas over 25 years ago, Robert was employed by Transportation Design Manufacturing “TDM “as a Junior ENGINEER/Program Manager and safety trainer with their alternative fuel division. During his entire career, he has been a Union Representative.

    Roberts union leadership and participation began 32 years ago when he first became a Shop Steward for the International Association of Mechanics and Aerospace Workers Local 1101 (IAMAW).

    For the past 22 years, he has held union representative roles for the Milpitas Employee Association (MEA): Shop Stewart, Secretary and Negotiator and is in his sixth term, 12th year, as MEA Union President; While, concurrently, appointed as the Business Manager & Secretary-Treasurer for UPEC Local 792, LiUNA in February 2024,

    Through Roberts' tenure as a dedicated, loyal, forward-driven and committed union representative for the hard-working employees that he supports, he’s also been instrumental in supporting local government representatives that support the union. He always takes an informative collaborative team approach with his Union Board in educating his group members about those representatives who have the best interest in supporting the union membership by coordinating and conducting informational meetings.

    Cindy Walton joined UPEC in November 2013. Cindy was raised in Redding CA. She lived in Germany for 10 years and in San Francisco for 5 years before moving back to Redding in 2001.

    Cindy has over 30 years experience in Customer Service, A/R, A/P as well as a wide range of administrative skills and has a long history of working and managing in an office environment.

    She is married and has two children.
