  • Top Executives in North State Public Agencies See Massive Pay Increases
    Updated On: Nov 05, 2021

Have you ever wondered what your bosses make? what top administrators and management in Shasta County, the City of Redding, and Shasta Superior Court take home every year? well an illuminating article published by the Redding Record-Searchlight gives many Shasta County area UPEC members a chance to do just that.

Simply click on the following link to see pay rates for all employees in Shasta County, Redding, and Shasta Court: http://www.redding.com/databases/public-salaries

The article states that among employees who earn over $100,000 ,the average pay raise in 2014 was 8%. The article goes on to state that roughly half of the total increase in dollars given to employees in the past year was given to people making over $100,000.

This article backs up what UPEC 792 and its members have been saying for years, that pay continues to rise astronically for upper management, while the lower level employees have to fight, scratch, and claw for every single penny.

This information clearly illustrates why Union members need to stand in solidarity with one another to make sure they get their fair share of the pie. When Union members stand together, workers win, and the community wins.
