The Salvation Army is continuing to provide meals and spiritual support at five Carr Fire evacuation sites in Shasta County:
- CrossPointe Community Church (located at 960 Hartnell Avenue, Redding)
- Foothill College (located at 9733 Deschutes Road, Palo Cedro)
- Shasta College (located at 11555 Old Oregon Trail, Redding)
- Simpson College (located at 2211 College View Drive, Redding)
- Trinity High School (located at 2211 College View Drive, Redding)
Bethel Church will be the official Distribution Hub for victims of the Carr Fire. The Hub is located at 933 College View Drive, Redding.

The CDMV is offering limited services free of charge to residents impacted by the Carr Fire at a Local Assistance Center in Redding. The temporary center opens Thursday, August 2, at 9 a.m.
Gov. Brown issued an emergency proclamation authorizing fee and/or penalty waivers for wildfire victims in Shasta County, which allows them to replace at no cost the following items if damaged due to the fire: Duplicate driver licenses, identification cards, vehicle registration and title, and disabled person parking placards. Fire victims can also acquire substitute license plates and stickets, vehicle disposal paperwork, driver record printouts and process a change of address.
ResQue Animal Coalition/Pawz for a Cause is opening its doors to any animals that may have been displaced by the Carr Fire. They are accepting dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, horses and large animals. They are also providing dog and cat food as well as cat litter. They will be open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
They are located at 926 Cypress Avenue in Redding behind Chase Bank and Safeway gas. Please call ahead before bringing animals to the location at (530) 221-7299.
Backpacks from Evergreen Union School Districts Stuff-The-Bus campaign will be distributed to school-aged children impacted by the Carr Fire on Friday, August 3 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Shasta Gateway Shopping Center (formerly Anderson Outlets) on the south side of the parking lot.
The Shasta Community Health Center's Hope Team has set up a truck in the parking lot of Shasta College to provide free medical services for evacuees of the Carr Fire. They will be in the parking lot every day during the week of July 30 - August 3 until 4 p.m. Read more HERE.
Sequoia Middle School has teamed up with the city of Redding to provide free meals to those affected by the Carr Fire. People of all ages can get free meals Monday through Friday from July 30 to August 3. Get more information HERE.
Brown's Small Engine Repair and Mobile Services (located at 2575 S. Whitman Place, Chico) is offering discounted rates to victims of the Carr Fire. You can reach them at (530) 774-8954.
A Local Assistance Center will be opening in Redding to provide recovery assistance services to residents impacted by the Carr Fire. It will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, though Wednesday, August 8 at Shasta High School (located at 2500 Eureka Way, Redding). The purpose of the center is to assist communities by providing centralized location for services and resource referrals for needs following the fire.
