Watsonville, CA - After over a year of outreach and organizing efforts, an election is set for February 22nd, 2023 for the members of the Watsonville Mid Management Bargaining Unit to vote on whether they wish to be represented by UPEC 792. 

This group of 74 employees in the City will have the chance to vote to be represented for the first time. They are one of the largest unrepresented employee groups in the Monterey Bay Area, including classifications such as Librarian, Recreation Coordinator, IT, Utility Crew Leader, and Senior Building Inspector. 

UPEC is excited to give these employees an opportunity to vote to become represented by a union for the first time and looks forward to negotiating their first contract with the City.
